> **In short:** On 2 October 2026, shared sunset cruises in Dubrovnik were listed at about €25 to €51 per person, and private boats at about €180 to €395 for 90 minutes to 2 hours. A sunset cruise in Dubrovnik costs about €25 to €51 per person on a shared boat, and about €180 to €395 per boat for a private trip of 90 minutes to 2 hours, going by the prices we checked on 2 October 2026. Larger boats and yachts start at about €690. If a private listing charges fuel separately, add it before you compare: we found surcharges from €30 to €200.

## Sunset cruise prices in Dubrovnik on 2 October 2026

We checked operators' own sites and booking platforms on 2 October 2026. Prices change through the season, so use these to judge the bands and check the live price before you book.

### Shared cruises: €25 to €51 a seat

- Karuzo's 1-hour panorama cruise leaves the Old Town port at 19:00 and was listed from €25 per person, with the boat and skipper included.
- The Karaka, a replica 16th-century ship, was €45 per person for 1 h 30 min on Karaka's own site, and from €51 on reseller pages. It does not take children under 16.
- Galleon Tirena's 1 h 30 min sunset tour was €49, with children aged 4 to 10 at half price and under-4s free.

### Private boats: about €180 to €395 per boat

| Sail Dubrovnik, Princess F43, up to 12 | 2 h | €1,450 | included |

Put together, the bands look like this:

- **About €25:** an hour on a shared boat from the Old Town port.
- **€45 to €51:** 90 minutes on a replica historic ship, with a welcome drink.
- **€180 to €300:** a private speedboat or small cruiser for 90 minutes to 2 hours, often with drinks included.
- **€300 to €400:** a bigger cruiser, or a smaller boat once fuel is added.
- **From about €690:** a larger boat or a yacht.

## What makes one sunset cruise cost more than another

**Boat size.** Adria Luxury Travel runs the same 2-hour sunset route on three classes of boat: €300 online for a speedboat (up to 5), €350 for a cruiser (up to 7) and €800 for a yacht (up to 12), each before fuel. Cavtat Boat Trips charges €395 on a Merry Fisher 795 and €690 on a Leader 10.

**Time on the water.** The cheapest shared seat, Karuzo's at €25, buys 1 hour. The 1 h 30 min Karaka and Galleon Tirena trips cost €45 to €49. Private trips mostly run 90 minutes to 2 hours. Our shared routes last about 1 h 10 min (€25) and about 1 h 50 min (€30 to €35), so compare the length as well as the price.

**Season and booking channel.** Some prices change with the month: our shared Sunset & City Walls seat is €35 from June to September and €30 in April, May and October. Adria Luxury Travel shows a list price and a lower online price for each boat, for example €335 and €300 for the speedboat.

**Drinks.** Karuzo lists the boat and skipper. The Karaka includes a welcome glass of sparkling wine. Rewind's private trip includes unlimited beer, wine, soft drinks and champagne, and Dubrovnik Blue Cave includes a bottle of champagne with unlimited soft drinks, beer and wine.

**Per seat or per boat.** Shared tours charge per seat and private tours per boat, so the cheaper option changes as your group grows. The maths is below.

**Who sells it.** [GetYourGuide's supplier help centre](https://supply.getyourguide.support/hc/en-us/articles/14148499264285-Invoicing) says it charges operators a commission plus VAT where applicable, and recommends they consider that cost when setting their price on the platform. On 2 October the Karaka cruise was €45 on Karaka's own site and from €51 on reseller pages, one of which also lists an extra drink.

**Transfers.** Some private prices include a hotel transfer: Dubrovnik Boat Rent (within the city area), Adria Luxury Travel and Sail Dubrovnik. Ours do not; hotel pickup is available on request.

**Where it leaves from.** Karuzo's cruise leaves from the Old Town port, while many private boats, ours included, leave from Gruž. From Pile Gate to Marina Frapa is about 10 minutes by taxi (around €12) or city bus 6, and a single bus ticket from the driver costs €2.50. The post on the [Old Town port or Gruž](/blog/old-town-port-or-gruz-boat-tours/) covers both.

**Fuel.** Some operators include it and some charge it on the day, which deserves its own section.

## Fuel surcharges: read the small print

Fuel is the cost most often listed outside the headline price. On 2 October 2026:

- Dubrovnik Coastal Beauty's "Sunset Tour By Boat With Local", sold on Marriott Bonvoy Activities, excluded a €30 fuel surcharge, paid in cash on the boat.
- Dubrovnik Boat Trips' private sunset listing on Tripadvisor, priced per group of up to 8, added €60 for fuel, paid on the boat.
- Adria Luxury Travel added €75, €100 or €200, depending on the boat.
- A 2-hour private cruise sold as a Tinggly gift added €100 in cash on board.

Each of these listings states its surcharge, usually under what is not included, in words such as "fuel surcharge (cash, paid on the boat)" or "fuel expenses (paid in cash on board)". The number to compare is the headline price plus fuel: Adria's speedboat, for example, comes to €375. Rewind, Dubrovnik Boat Rent and Sail Dubrovnik include fuel in the price. So do we: our private prices include fuel with no surcharge at the dock, and our shared seats include it too.

## Our sunset cruise prices in full

| Route | Shared adult | Shared child, 4–11 | Private, up to 6 | Private, up to 12 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Golden Hour Express (Route A), about 1 h 10 min | €25 | €15 | €180 | €320 |
| Sunset & City Walls (Route B), about 1 h 50 min | €35 June–September, €30 April, May and October | €20 | €250 | €450 |
| Koločep Swim & Sunset (Route C), about 2 h 20 min | private only | private only | €320 | €550 |

All three routes leave Marina Frapa in Gruž at a time set by that evening's sunset. Private extras such as champagne instead of prosecco, flowers, a proposal set-up, a photographer, extra time on the water or hotel pickup are priced on request.

## Shared or private: the per-person maths

Our shared boat is the Ayros 22, which takes up to 12 guests. Private groups get the Fisher 20 (up to 6) or the Ayros 22 to themselves (up to 12). Here is the Sunset & City Walls route (Route B) for adults:

| Group | Shared, June–September | Shared, April, May, October | Private boat | Private, per person |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | €70 | €60 | €250 (Fisher 20) | €125 |
| 4 | €140 | €120 | €250 (Fisher 20) | €62.50 |
| 6 | €210 | €180 | €250 (Fisher 20) | €41.67 |
| 9 | €315 | €270 | €450 (Ayros 22) | €50 |
| 12 | €420, every seat | €360, every seat | €450 (Ayros 22) | €37.50 |

For two to four people, shared seats cost far less. A couple pays €70 for two peak-season seats against €250 for the private Fisher 20, and on the Golden Hour Express €50 against €180. Six is the turning point: in peak season the whole Fisher 20 costs €40 more than six shared seats (€250 against €210), under €7 each, and you have the boat to yourselves. In April, May and October the gap is €70. A group of twelve would need every seat on a shared departure, so contact us before you count on it. The private Ayros 22 then works out at €37.50 each, €2.50 more than a peak-season shared seat. On the shorter Golden Hour Express, six shared adult seats cost €150 and the private boat €180.

## Children, booking fees and cancellations

Children aged 4 to 11 pay €20 on the shared Sunset & City Walls route and €15 on the Golden Hour Express. Under-4s ride free but count towards the boat's capacity. Two adults and two children aged 4 to 11 pay €110 for Route B in July, against €250 for the private Fisher 20. Private prices are per boat, so ages don't change them.

There are no booking fees on our site. Every price includes a licensed skipper, fuel, a prosecco toast for adults and life jackets. Towels are not included, so bring your own if you plan to swim.

Cancel 24 hours or more before departure for a full refund. Between 12 and 24 hours you get 50% back, and under 12 hours or a no-show gets nothing. If we cancel for any reason, including unsafe sea or wind, you choose a full refund or a free move to another evening. If a full overcast hides the sunset, you can move to another evening free of charge, subject to availability. The [cancellation policy](/cancellation-policy/) has the details.

## How to compare quotes

For one or two people, a shared seat is the cheapest way onto the water. For six or more, price a private boat as well. Then choose the route for what you want to see. The Sunset & City Walls route passes the walls in golden light and has no swim stop. The Golden Hour Express has an optional swim of about 10 minutes, only when the sea is calm, and the private Koločep route includes a swim of about 40 minutes. When you compare private quotes, line up the same length, the same size of boat and the total with fuel, and check whether a transfer is included. Before you pay, confirm four things: whether the price is per person or per boat, whether fuel is included, how long the trip lasts from departure to return, and the cancellation deadline.

Then check the departure against that evening's sunset on our [timetable](/#best-time). Sunset moves from about 19:15 in early April to 20:30 in early July and 18:30 at the start of October, so a cruise that suits June can leave too late for October. Our [prices and per-person comparison](/#pricing) shows every route side by side, the [Karaka, catamaran or speedboat](/blog/karaka-catamaran-or-speedboat-sunset-cruise/) post compares the formats, and you can book any evening from tomorrow onwards on the [booking page](/booking/).
