# Cancellation and weather policy

> **In short:** Cancel 24 hours or more before departure for a full refund, or 12 to 24 hours before for 50%. After that, or if you don't show up, there is no refund. If we cancel for weather or any other reason, you choose a full refund or a free move to another evening.

## If you cancel

Times count from your scheduled departure, in local Dubrovnik time. For example, if your boat leaves at 18:30 on 15 June, a cancellation made before 18:30 on 14 June gets a full refund.

The departure time depends on your date, because every boat is timed to that evening's sunset. It is printed on your e-ticket and shown on the [booking page](/booking/) when you pick a date.

## If we cancel

If we cancel for any reason, including unsafe sea or wind, you choose a full refund or a free move to another evening. The skipper decides on safety, and we tell you as early as we can, by WhatsApp or email.

Wind and sea are the usual reasons: a strong *bura* from the north-east or a *jugo* swell from the south-east can make the open water unsafe for small boats.

## If clouds hide the sunset

If a full overcast hides the sunset, you can move to another evening free of charge instead of sailing, subject to availability. A few clouds usually make a better sunset, so this applies to a full overcast. Message us on the day if the sky looks grey and we'll decide with you before departure.

## How to cancel or change

Reply to your e-ticket email, or message us on WhatsApp at [+385 91 600 1201](https://wa.me/385916001201), with your booking reference (SD-XXXXXXXX) and the name you booked under. We confirm every change in writing.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe. How long a refund takes to appear on your statement depends on your bank.

## Late arrivals and no-shows

Please arrive 15 minutes before departure at our office with the yellow flag at the marina entrance. The sunset won't wait, so the boat can't wait long either. A missed departure counts as a no-show.

## Changing the number of guests

Adding guests is possible while there is room on the boat: message us before the day. Fewer guests on a shared tour is treated as a partial cancellation under the tiers above. A private boat is priced per boat, so the price does not change with fewer guests.
